Ex-candidate Haddad wishes winner Bolsonaro “good luck”
Fernando Haddad, the presidential hopeful of the Workers’ Party (PT), defeated in the elections on Sunday (28), wished good luck to president-elect Jair Bolsonaro, of the Social Liberal Party (PSL). On social media today (29), Haddad said he has “a light heart” and hopes for “the best for everyone.” He addressed his opponent as “president.”
To his electors, Haddad also expressed affection. “I’d like to thank the 45 million electors who supported us. They’re a significant part of the population, and must be respected.”
He also mentioned his family and talked about his personal history. “I’d like to thank my ancestors who taught me the worth of courage and taught me to defend justice at any price. All other values depend on courage,” he declared.
