Brazil’s Ministry of Health announced today (May 15) that Minister Nelson Teich resigned from his post Friday morning.
Teich took office a month ago, after the departure of former Health Minister Luiz Henrique Mandetta, on April 16.
Mandetta and President Jair Bolsonaro disagreed on the plans to combat pandemic of the new coronavirus in the country, including social distancing measures and the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat patients.
