Covid-19 cases total 22.1 million in Brazil

The Ministry of Health recently released new figures on the covid-19 pandemic in the country. According to a daily survey carried out by the folder, Brazil has, in accumulated terms, 22.1 million confirmed cases of the disease and 616.4 thousand registered deaths.

The number of recovered covid-19 patients reaches 21.4 million (96.5% of cases).

In 24 hours, 9,278 new cases and 206 deaths from the disease were registered in the country.

The state of São Paulo has the highest number of accumulated cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with 4.4 million cases and 154.6 thousand deaths. Next are the states of Minas Gerais (2.2 million cases and 56.3 thousand deaths); Paraná (1.5 million cases and 40.8 thousand deaths) and Rio Grande do Sul (1.4 million cases and 36.2 thousand deaths).
