Flu vaccination kicks off today across Brazil
Some 76.5 million people should be immunized by June 3

Brazil’s National Vaccination Campaign against Influenza starts this Monday (Apr. 4). The goal of the country’s Ministry of Health is to have approximately 76.5 million people immunized by June 3, when the campaign is slated to end.
According to the Ministry, 80 million doses of the trivalent influenza vaccine—produced by the Butantan Institute and effective against the H1N1, H3N2, and type B strains—will be available at public health units in the national public health care system, the SUS.
