Brazil wants to immunize over 9 mi young people against measles

Brazil hits global target for measles vaccination

A preliminary report by Brazil’s Health Ministry indicates Brazil has met the global vaccination target for children aged six months to one year, with 95 percent of the general population in this age group registered as immunized.

Anti-flu vaccination campaign kicks off tomorrow across Brazil

Brazil’s National Vaccination Campaign Against the Flu is starting Wednesday (Apr. 10) countrywide. In the first stage, children aged one to six will be prioritized, along with pregnant women and women in the postpartum period (up to 45 days after birth).

Nearly 2 thousand measles cases confirmed in Brazil

Up to October 1, 1,935 cases of measles were confirmed in Brazil—1,525 of which in the state of Amazonas, and 330 in Roraima, in the Brazilian Amazon region. The state of Amazonas reports a further 7,873 cases under scrutiny, compared to 101 in Roraima.
