The resolution requires courts of justice and magistrates to ensure equal rights, combating any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
The project marks the first-ever version of the Magna Carta in Nheengatu, the general Amazonian language that originated from diverse indigenous interactions.
The guiding principles of the resolution are informality, simplicity, procedural economy, celerity, orality, and procedural flexibility, the council explained.
Among the measures is the monitoring and enforcement of the decisions of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights as well as international treaties in the area.
The data will be collected by the National Council of Justice. Among the crimes are rape of the vulnerable; corruption of minors; sexual exploitation of children, adolescents or vulnerable people.
