Dollar reaches R$3.80, lowest rate in three months

Data announcing that the Brazilian economy ended 2015 with the biggest drop in 25 years has not affected the financial market. The dollar exchange rate plummeted and closed the trading session at the lowest value in three months, R$3.802.

During the first day of negotiations after Carnival, the dollar rose and closed out Wednesday (Feb. 10) at R$ 3.936, up 0.65%. Despite the hike, the US currency is showing a 0.3% drop year to date.
