The government,Health Minister Marcelo Queiroga said, plans to immunize 90 percent of the target public at approximately 38 thousand basic care stations qualified to vaccinate people across the country.

A preliminary report by Brazil’s Health Ministry indicates Brazil has met the global vaccination target for children aged six months to one year, with 95 percent of the general population in this age group registered as immunized.
Up to October 15, 2,1922 cases of measles were confirmed in Brazil, according to official figures released Wednesday (Oct. 17). Of this amount, 1,776 cases were identified in Amazonas, 33 in Roraima.
