Brazil’s output reached 4.698 mi barrels of oil equivalent per day, surpassing September’s 4.666 mi. The announcement was published by national oil agency ANP.
The total stood at a daily 4.482 mi barrels of oil equivalent. In the same month, a new record was set for total production (oil plus natural gas), as well as for oil and natural gas taken separately and for pre-salt production.
The output stood at 4.324 mi barrels of oil equivalent per day. Of these, 3.367 mi were oil and 152.258 mi cubic meters were natural gas, as per the latest monthly report by oil agency ANP.
Of this total, 94% will be directed at well drilling, as per the country’s oil, natural gas, and biofuel authority ANP. At the end of last year, blocks under contract in the exploration phase totaled 295—up 24% from 2021’s 238.
The average output under the sharing regime stood at 819 thousand bpd in May. The government’s share in the total was reported to reach a record 45.7 thousand bpd—up 32% from the previous month.
