Operation Skal investigates municipal servants who would have acted in conjunction with companies to divert public resources, mainly through private hospitals.
Criminal group operated in the Federal District, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo.
Investigations indicated that they were killed by traffickers in the community with authorization from a head of a faction that controls drug sales in the region.
The dismantling of criminal groups prevented a loss of R$ 20 million to public coffers. Warrants are fulfilled in Rio, Nova Iguaçu and Belford Roxo.
