During the visit of FIFA’s inspection delegation to Brasília, the representatives of the governing body of world football met with the president at the Planalto presidential palace.
“The US and Brazil are doing so many important things together. We’re working together bilaterally, regionally, globally. It’s a very important partnership,” US Secretary of State Antony Blinken declared.
Brazil’s Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira criticized his Israeli counterpart Israel Katz for statements made in recent days about Brazilian President Lula. Vieira described the way Katz referred to Lula as “unusual and revolting.”
The president flew to Ethiopia to attend the 37th African Union Summit as a guest and took the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings.
Lula is traveling to Egypt and Ethiopia to strengthen Brazil's connections with African countries. He visited the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar last year.
