Exports are said to have risen from $9.52 mi in 2020 to $13.17 mi last year—still 9.8% lower than pre-pandemic levels. Paraguay and Germany were the top buyers.
The increase is noted from the same month last year. The first nine months of 2022 were up 6.3% from the same time span last year, with 1.75 million vehicles assembled.
“The flow of people in [trade] establishments has practically normalized in comparison with the beginning of 2020,” a study by Brazilian trade confederation CNC reads.
From January to June 2022, sales totaled 683,173 units, 15.04 percent less than recorded in the same period last year (804,141). The data were released by Fenabrave.
“The number is in line with what we imagined, facing challenges posed by [coronavirus variant] Omicron and also by the lack of auto parts,” Anfavea President declared.
