Supreme Court upholds suspension of X in Brazil

Brazil's Supreme Court rules on suspension of X platform

In the early hours of Saturday (Aug. 31), internet providers in Brazil began blocking the social network X following Justice Moraes' order to suspend the platform.

Social network X closes its offices in Brazil

The company’s global affairs department said that “to protect the safety of our staff, we have made the decision to close our operation in Brazil, effective immediately. The X service remains available to the people of Brazil.”
