Brazil registers balance of 155 thousand formal jobs in January
Brazil registered in January 2022 a balance of 155,178 formal jobs, according to data from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed, released on Thursday (Mar. 10) by the Ministry of Economy.
This is a result of 1,777,646 admissions and 1,622,468 dismissals. Therefore, the stock of formal jobs in the country has reached 40,833,533, which represents an increase of 0.38 percent in relation to the stock of the previous month.
The figures show that in January four of the five groups of economic activities had a positive balance, with emphasis on the service sector that generated 102,026 formal jobs. Information, communication, financial, real estate, professional, and administrative activities were the main sectors, generating 58,773 jobs.
Salary
In the entire country, the average admission salary in January 2022 was BRL 1,920.59 ($ 380 dollars). Compared to the previous month, there was a real increase of BRL 115.24 ($ 22 dollars) in the average admission salary, a variation of around 6.38 percent.
