Petrobras has announced that the average sale price of kerosene will be cut by 2.6 percent. The new prices are effective next Monday (Aug 1). The move was unveiled Thursday (Jul 28).

The state-run oil giant pointed out that aviation fuel prices are reset monthly in accordance with a contract formula agreed upon with distributors.

Petrobras sells aviation kerosene and gasoline imported or produced at its refineries only to distributors. “The distributors, in turn, transport and sell the product to air transport companies and other end-consumers at airports, or to resellers. Distributors and resellers are responsible for airport facilities and refueling services,” the company noted.

Regarding asphalt binders, prices are also adjusted on a monthly basis, as per the agreements with asphalt distributors.

Gasoline

Petrobras also announced the reduction of the average sale price of gasoline to distributors, from BRL 3.86 to BRL 3.71 a liter, effective tomorrow (Jul 29). The reduction stands at BRL 0.15 a liter.
