Brazil defeats Germany and advances to quarterfinals of the Goalball

Fifth consecutive victory guarantees the team's early classification.

Author of five goals in the victory by 13 to 5, the wing Leomon (colored hair) was voted the best on court. The women's team, on the other hand, lost again and are practically out of the competition.

The Brazilian men's team emplacated the fifth straight victory in the World Goalball and ensured early qualifying for the quarterfinals of the competition, in Matosinhos (Portugal). On Monday (12), the team beat Germany by 13 to 5.

With the spot already secured, the Brazilians return to court on Tuesday (13), against Belgium. The matches are broadcast live on Kuriakos TV's YouTube page.

Led by coach Jonathan Castro, the Brazilians remain firm in their quest for a third championship, a feat that no other team has achieved so far. Besides Germany, in this edition of the World Cup, Brazil has already beaten Algeria, Japan, Turkey, and Canada.
