With one of the most amazing scores in this World Cup so far – it defeated reigning world champion Spain by 5-1 – the Netherlands takes to the field Wednesday (Jun 18) hoping to confirm its fine football display of the first round and maintain its leadership in Group B. The team plays Australia at Arena Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre at 1pm local time. Chile and Spain face off at 4pm completing the group round at Maracanã, Rio.

In the first round, Chile beat Australia 3-1 and secured a second rank in the group based on goal difference. Now Spain will have to bet all its chips on a win, preferably by a wide margin to offset the minus four goal difference that followed its defeat to the Netherlands.

The third match of the day will feature two Group A members – the same group as Brazil's. Croatia and Cameroon face off at Arena Amazônia in Manaus at 7pm, both with a track record of defeat – Croatia lost to Brazil 3-1, whereas Cameroon lost to Mexico by 1-0. Brazil and Mexico faced off Tuesday (17) for the second round of Group A and tied at 0-0.
