Concerned with the 100 thousand Argentinian fans—most of whom ticketless—estimated by the Federal Police to come to Brasília for their nation’s match against Belgium next Saturday (Jul 5) at the Brasília National Stadium, Brazilian and Argentinian police gathered on Thursday (3) in order to rearrange the security scheme for the game.

The Argentinian police double-checked the list with the names of over 2 thousand fans regarded as violent. These are fans who are not allowed to enter the country. In an attempt to stop these people to avert surveillance and reach Brasília, reinforcements are to be provided for the inspection both of roads, to be carried out by the Federal Highway Police, and of the Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport.

Up to the moment, 39 Argentinians have been banned from coming into Brazil and two have been deported while trying to gain access to stadiums. Since the beginning of the tournament, seven Argentinian federal police are in Brazil following the steps of their national team as they travel through the host country.
