Policing efforts were redoubled this time, due to last week's demonstrations, which ended in brawls and clashes with the police. Some businesses set up iron sheets in front of glass windows in a bid to prevent damage in case of new confrontations.

Despite the rally, the vote on the four bills, slated for today, was postponed until Wednesday (14). The decision was made by the legislature head in an attempt to gain more time for negotiations.
The bills include an increase from 11% to 14% in civil servants' social security contribution and the postponing of the pay rise for civil servants in police forces, penitentiary agents and state revenue agents until 2020.
