Brazil population surpasses 211.7 million
In one year, the country’s population rose by 1.6 million people

The estimated population of Brazil is 211,755,692 people, compared to 210,147,125 in 2019, up 1.6 million in one year. The figures were published today (Aug. 27) by the government’s statistics agency IBGE.
According to the survey, the most populous states are São Paulo (46,289,333), Minas Gerais (21,292,666), and Rio de Janeiro (17,366,189). Roraima is the state with the lowest estimated population (631,181).
