Brazil National Force to act in security of presidential inauguration

Brazil’s National Force will be responsible for the security during Lula's Presidential Inauguration next Sunday, January 1, 2023.

According to the document published on Wednesday (Dec. 28) by the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety, the military will participate in escort activities, in support of the Federal Highway Police, on an episodic and planned basis, in the period from December 27, 2022, to January 2, 2023.

The military contingent to be available will follow the planning defined by the board of the National Force, which is part of the National Secretariat of Public Safety, the document reads.
