Increase in planted area and good climate boosts 2022/2023 harvest

The 2022/2023 grain harvest is expected to reach 312.4 million tons, while the previous harvest stood at 271 million tons, an increase of 15.32 percent. Soybeans and corn together should produce 279 million tons.

According to the head of the National Supply Company Conab Guilherme Ribeiro, the increase is due to the increase in 3 percent of the planted area and the good weather. Rice and beans

Rice and beans are the main products consumed by Brazilians in their meals, but even with a reduction in the planted area, the necessary production for domestic consumption will be maintained. A production of 11 million tons of rice and 3 million tons of beans is expected for this harvest.
