The administration of President Michel Temer has been rated as “poor” or “terrible” by 70% of the population, according to a CNI/IBOPE poll. “Good” or “excellent” ratings were given by  5% of respondents, whereas 21% of them rated it as “average”, and 3% were undecided or did not answer the poll. The report was released by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) today (July 27).

The poll, which provided insight into the perception of Brazilians about the federal government on the second quarter of 2017, was conducted between July 13 and 16, with 2,000 respondents in 125 municipalities.

In the previous poll, which was published in March, 10% of respondents had rated the government as “good” or “excellent”, 31% as “average”, 55% as “poor” or “terrible”, and 4% were undecided or did not answer the poll.
