Approximately 84 percent of posts for Brazil’s More Doctors program have been filled in the first three days after the tender offer was announced. In a report released this morning, 19,994 medics registered for practice in Brazil or holding a foreign degree re-validated in the country are said to have submitted an application.
Of this total, 13,341 applications have been accepted as meeting all requirements, and 7,154 doctors have been allocated to their designated municipalities for immediate work. The health agents must produce all required documents by December 14 in the city where they are to be stationed. The period for applications ends on December 7.
