The Infogripe Bulletin, released this Monday (4th) by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), points to the resumption of growth in the number of cases of Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in the country, with most of them, 77.6%, positive for Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes covid-19. This week's bulletin shows that the possible interruption of growth signaled in the last edition did not remain.

The analysis refers to the period from June 19 to 25. In this period there was growth both in the long-term trend, considering the cases of the last six weeks, and in the short-term trend, considering the last three weeks.

The data show that 16 of the 27 federative units show signs of growth in the long-term trend. In the states of the Southeast and South regions, there are indications of a possible interruption in the growth trend in recent weeks, which should be reassessed in the next updates for confirmation.

Despite the growth of SARS cases in the country, the bulletin shows that among the adult population there is a sign of deceleration, especially in the age groups from 50 years old. In children and adolescents, a maintenance sign of decline is observed between the groups from 0 to 4 and 5 to 11 years old.
