The figure was presented by the e-commerce giant’s CEO Fernando Yunes to President Lula during a Monday meeting at the Planalto presidential palace.
“The [estimate] was announced […] both for light and heavy vehicles, such as buses and trucks, and in combustion engines as well as ethanol, full flex, hybrid, and electric,” said vice-President and Development Minister Geraldo Alckmin.
Brazil’s National Bank for Economic and Social Development will chair the D20 Long-Term Investors Club for the next two years. It is the first time BNDES holds this position.
