Palmeiras beat América de Cali, rise to women’s Libertadores final
The Brazilians are now set to face Argentina’s Boca Juniors on Friday

Palmeiras qualified for the final of the women’s Libertadores cup after defeating Colombia’s América de Cali by 1–0 on Wednesday (Oct. 26) at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado stadium (also known as Casa Blanca) in Quito, Ecuador.
Palmeiras’s winning goal came nine minutes into the second half, when Byanca Brasil crossed the penalty area and Ary Borges anticipated the defense and scored with his head.
In the grand final, Palmeiras will face Argentina’s Boca Juniors at 7 pm Brasília time on Friday (28).
