The Ministry of Foreign Relations (Itamaraty) reported Tuesday (May 5) that nine Brazilians are still missing in Nepal, following the earthquake on April 25 that left more than 7,500 dead. According to the latest update, at least 36 of the 218 Brazilians who were in Nepal have already been able to leave the country. As yet, no Brazilians have been reported dead, and two were reported with minor injuries.

According to Itamaraty, Brazil's embassy in Kathmandu is still searching hotels, schools, non-governmental organizations and public buildings for Brazilian refugees who might need medical care or special assistance.
