The São Paulo municipal headquarters of the Workers' Party (PT) was stormed in the early hours today (Aug. 17). According to a statement issued by the political party, drawers and cabinets were rifled, but no theft has been detected. A police report has been written out on the occurrence.
The note, signed by local head Paulo Fiorilo, reads, “The municipal base of the PT believes the case should be investigated and examined urgently, as [similar] incidents have already taken place. This is the fourth occurrence in 2015 alone. The first one occurred at the Jundiaí base, followed by the bomb attacks downtown and at the Lula Institute.”
