The first batch of Brazilians in the Village, a total of 75, will compete in rowing, table tennis, sitting volleyball, archery, weightlifting, and boccia. The next team to arrive is goalball, with a total of 12 athletes
Canoeist Isaquias Queiroz won the silver medal in the C1 1000m category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The achievement gives him his fifth Olympic medal, making him second to gymnast Rebeca Andrade with six medals.
This was Brazil's second medal in surfing in Paris, following Gabriel Medina's bronze in the men's event. Medina secured third place by defeating Peru's Alonso Correa.
Gabriel Medina will face Australian Jack Robinson in a bid for a spot in the final, and Tatiana Weston-Webb will compete against Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy.
