A KC-390 Millennium airplane of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) is expected to take off at 3 pm today (Mar. 7) from the Brasília Air Base to conduct the mission of rescuing Brazilians who have left Ukraine as a result of the war. The aircraft should land in Warsaw, Poland, on Wednesday (9).

As humanitarian aid to Ukraine, the plane will carry 11.6 tons of medicine for emergency care, food, and basic necessities with autonomously operated technology for underserved locations and extreme situations, such as wars and conflicts.

An inter-ministerial mission

The initiative, dubbed Operação Repatriação, (“Operation Repatriation”), comes as a joint effort between the ministries of Defense, Foreign Relations, and Health. The repatriated Brazilians are expected to land in Brazil on Thursday (10).
