Brazil's Operation Returning in Peace has organized so far ten flights from the conflict zone to repatriate Brazilians and their families, mostly departing from Tel Aviv.
The first of the six planes the government has mobilized to rescue Brazilians from the confrontation between Israel and the Hamas group left shortly after 2 pm Brasília time on Tuesday with 211 passengers.
A KC-390 Millennium airplane of the Brazilian Air Force is expected to take off at 3 pm today from the Brasília Air Base. It should land in Warsaw, Poland, on Wednesday (9).
The KC-390 aircraft will depart from the Brasília military air base on Monday bound for Warsaw, transporting 11.5 tons of humanitarian supplies donated by Brazil.
A team with 136 Israeli agents—among them doctors, engineers and other experts—is in Brazil to help the search and rescue operations following the disaster in Brumadinho and will stay to provide assistance for as long as it proves necessary.
