Brazil will send to Poland a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane to repatriate Brazilians who left Ukraine in recent days, fleeing the consequences of the Russian military invasion.

The KC-390 Millenniun multi-mission aircraft will depart from the Brasília military air base on Monday (Mar. 7) bound for Warsaw, transporting 11.5 tons of humanitarian supplies donated by Brazil. The rescue mission to pick up Brazilian citizens is being carried out by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense. The military plane is scheduled to return to Brazil next Thursday (Mar. 10).

If necessary, another FAB aircraft is ready to participate in the rescue mission. Both planes are the same model and had been used in other international humanitarian missions, such as the transport of Brazilian donations to the victims of the explosion in Beirut in 2020, and the emergency support to Haiti after the earthquake occurred in 2021.
