Friendship Bridge (Ponte da Amizade in Portuguese), main connection between Paraguay and Uruguay was reopened Thursday (Oct. 15). The passage between Foz do Iguaçu had been blocked since March 18 due to efforts to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
The move allows the entry of foreigners through land roads between Brazil and Paraguay, "provided the migratory requirements appropriate for their condition are observed, including bearing an entry visa, when required by Brazilian regulations." The measure was stressed by President Jair Bolsonaro on his social media.
